In May 2009, the studio released the WiiWare title Swords & Soldiers.

The name 'Ronimo' came from a brainstorming session in which the team decided to combine the first letters of the words 'Robot Ninja Monkey'. With the money earned from selling the rights to de Blob the team founded Ronimo Games. THQ subsequently handed over further development to Blue Tongue Entertainment (Nintendo DS, Wii) and Universomo (mobile/iPhone/iPod). Publisher THQ noticed the game, was very impressed with the team's work, and acquired the rights to the game. The team that formed Ronimo Games initially came together under the name of Banana Games, and created the original freeware PC version of de Blob. As each match progresses you’ll need to react to what your opponent is doing in sort of a rock paper scissors fashion, with certain units countering others with plenty of on-command spells in the mix.Ronimo Games is a Dutch video game developer founded in 2007 by former students of the Utrecht School of the Arts. The former is more of a workhorse of a force with strong units, the Persians are a cunning faction with units that can cloak and subvert other foot soldiers and the Demons are a mix of both with a penchant for explosives and cannon fodder tactics. Swords and Soldiers 2 features three distinctly different armies: the Vikings, Demons and the Persians. If you’ve never played this series before, you’re basically sending out units in a straight line (with nuances like hills and sometimes portals or gates) from base to base, trying to raze an enemy commander’s fort. But the core is still there, mostly focused around heated multiplayer matches that garner “one more round” responses no matter the conclusion. There’s some campaign tweaks, extra maps and most importantly: online multiplayer.
